Saying "I do!" under the canopy of majestic redwoods in northern California--what could be more romantic? Avenue of the Giants features a myriad of peaceful groves for an intimate union, like our lovely clients from Kansas who are eloping with only an officiant, photographer, and dinner for two with Sweet Basil catering in an undisclosed private grove near Phillipsville. Our personalized services for couples like this include a custom menu, and food prepared lovingly onsite with as much or as little interaction from the chef as preferred. In their case, chefs Yvette and Adrian will serve and describe each course table side and then quietly slip back to the tent kitchen to quietly prepare the next course. Humboldt State Park and Redwood National Park also have several spots for a big celebration with hundreds of guests, like Williams Grove, Richardson Grove, Women's Federation Grove (shown here), and Jedediah Smith Park. An "Enchanted Forest" theme has been very popular in recent years, bringing out the child in guests who spend the day enjoying dappled sunlight, shady respites, and refreshing dips in the cool river winding through the region. More formal "Gatsby" themes also work beautifully at Avenue of the Giants, with white linens, crystal and china set against an incredible backdrop. Beef Wellington, Lobster, and Oysters on the Half Shell all work equally well in the great outdoors! The sky is the limit to menu options under the trees! Our home base is in Ferndale, just a half hour from most groves, and our commercial propane fueled tent kitchen makes it easy to prepare lavish spreads or down home comfort food right on the spot. Because we dedicate our entire weekend to your event exclusively, we recommend reserving your special day as early as possible. |
